Valerie Hartzell, guitarist, returns to perform for our audiences, with Tamara McCoy, pianist and vocalist, in a concert of instrumental and vocal music to delight the senses. Duo Amici will perform works by de Falla, Carulli, and Boccherini.
Dr. McCoy will present a solo version of the first programmatic piano concerto, ‘Totentanz’ by Franz Liszt. After a short lecture on the ‘Totentanz’, she will perform this work while displaying the sketches upon which this piece is based creating a multi-sensory experience for the audience.
